Tips On Writing
Your Advertisement. |
|
When compiling the text for your advertisement you will need to write it in such a way as to make it not only appealing to the potential customers but to search engines. When a search engine crawls a page it looks for repeated words or phrases, if for example you are running a florist in Castlebar County Mayo. Suppose someone in Mayo is looking for a florist, you have to ask yourself what will that person type into the search box on Yahoo or Goggle. It may be 'florists in mayo', 'flower shops in mayo', 'florists in castlebar', 'wedding florists in mayo' etc. If your business name is well known repeat it, if you are part of a franchise use '(Your franchise name) in Mayo', 'franchise name in castlebar' etc. What you need to do is to try and repeat the phrases you think people will search for as often as possible, without making it sound ridiculous to the human reader. It's a good idea to check the search engines for phrases to suit your business, use the advanced search. Don't be tempted to repeat the phrase dozens of times, search robots are incredibly complex, if they come to the conclusion you are trying to get one one on them, your text will be disregarded totally. Some people have tried using say white text on a white background, invisible to the human eye, they are wasting their time the robots are programmed to look for this.
