The European premiere of 'Proud', a World War II film starring Stephen Rea and Aidan Quinn, will take place on the opening night of the fourth annual Mid Ulster Film Festival.

'Proud', which was directed by Mary Pat Kelly and also stars Ossie Davis and Reggie Austin, tells the true story of the only African-American crew to take a Navy warship into combat in World War II.

The annual Mid Ulster Film Festival will take place on on 2nd 3rd and 4th May 2008.
